Introducing Eco-friendly products into your home has an impact that is both personal and global. You can cut back your electric bills, increase the value of your home, and reduce your carbon footprint. Most homeowners have invested in a few “green” appliances already, but many of them are on the fence when it comes to going solar.

An investment in solar panels is not only an investment in the future well being of your children, but it also has huge benefits for you in the present. There are so many reason to go solar, but to keep things short we’ve outlined the top five reasons why you should buy solar electric panels for your home.

1. There are many government incentives for homeowners who add solar panels to their homes. Tax breaks, low-interest loans, and Energy Star programs can cut the amount you pay for solar products and installation by a ton.

2. Adding solar panels to your home instantly increases its value by 10 percent without raising your property taxes. And when it comes time to sell your home, buyers will be lining up at the door because they love homes that are energy efficient. It means that their utility bills will be lower.

3. Did you know that coal supplies almost 85 percent of the electricity used in the nation? With solar panels, you will help cut back the use of a fossil fuel that contributes to global warming when burned.

4. When it comes to solar power, you often here the phrase “free yourself.” This is because you will no longer have to deal with rising utility cost. You may even see your electric meter spin backwards, as many homeowners with solar panels have. You will also never have to worry about power outages.

5. Solar panels use a clean and renewable power source. You can use them anywhere in the world and know that you are doing something good for the environment and for future generations.

Now, its time to go “wireless” and unplug from the electrical grid.

Did you ever consider that perhaps you should take solar energy seriously? That identical thought has occurred to lots of people. Lots of individuals have had the exact same idea a number of them actually acted on that thought. Most never see it through the daydream stage. Sometimes it is because they may have excessive inertia to get started. Sometimes it is because there are many unknowns. Still other times it is because they think they can’t do it.

Let’s just hold on here now. We poked around plenty of negatives at the beginning of this, all the why nots. Let’s consider three reasons why you should take solar energy seriously.

First and foremost, on the “Pro” side, I might explain that solar energy is essentially free energy, no matter what the climate there is some amount of solar energy which can be captured. Fine, I acknowledge your objection, on the “Con” side, and I agree that you have a valid point as you say it may appear that solar energy cannot meet all your heating and power needs, which in many cases is probably true. But I want to additionally point out that we currently waste a great amount of energy, so solar can go a long way to meeting out heat and power needs.

Secondly, you truly should consider that our current sources of energy will not last forever, so what example are we leaving future generations. And, likewise, due to limited resources, the price of fossil fuel energy will only increase in the long run. Plus, even better, by using solar energy and other forms of renewable energy, we can become energy independent.

Third and lastly, you’ll get a feel good factor knowing you helped the environment and lowered your energy bills. And that’s going to imply that you have more money to spend on other more important things. In addition, on top of that, additionally, you will avoid the green taxes, which governments are considering

Once you’ve had an opportunity to check out the reasons, and give thought to them, you’ll see that a decent case can be made in favour of take solar energy seriously.

So now look at that for a few minutes. An excellent case has been made in favour of doing it. Perhaps you really should take solar energy seriously.

Using mono-crystalline solar technology, the Nomad 27M solar panel is by all accounts an outstanding source of free electricity. Not only can the unit be charged during all types of weather, but it also pumps out a generous 27 watts. As far as charging the batteries are concerned, on can expect a full charge within as little as 4 to 5 hours, providing you have sunny conditions. Even when it's only partly sunny, a full charge will usually take no longer than 7 hours, and if it's completely overcast, 15 hours is usually adequate. With that said, the actual time it takes for the batteries to recharge fully does also depend on the type of batteries being used. Even though some batteries can take 30 or 40 hours to recharge during adverse weather, it's not really much of an issue, considering you're getting electricity with having to worry about bills.

Even though some batteries can take 30 or 40 hours to recharge during adverse weather, it’s not really much of an issue, considering you’re getting electricity with having to worry about bills.

It is ideal for charging electronics and has eight small panels providing power, so you can use one at a time. One of the greatest attributes of the Nomad 27M solar panel is its size. It measures 22.5″ x 44.5″ x 0.03″ which drops to 10.5″ x 7″ x2″ when folded. Folding it makes storage easy. Homes where space is a problem will find it quite appropriate because when folded, you can easily store it in a drawer or case. It is also light in weight (3.4 lbs) and can be carried along when traveling, going on a hike or any other outdoor adventure. Simply attach whatever it is you need to charge on the solar panel, be it a phone or torch, fasten the panel on your backpack and keep walking!

There are two main differences between the 27M and the 13.5M models. First and foremost, the 27M produces a higher wattage, and secondly, it can also store energy for a greater length of time than the 13.5M. The two key differences make the 27M noticeably more efficient than the 13.5M. On a slightly different note, both models use a charging voltage of 12V, although the 27M does have an open 18V circuit.

Included with the Nomad 27M solar panel are 3 Aluminum support rods which can be used to improve stability during outdoor charging. Additional, the kit also includes 4 robust grommets which allow you to position the panel at practically any angles, and if you’re concerned about having wires running everywhere, there’s no need to be because the connector cord is housed in a built-in pocket of its own. This of course helps to minimize the chances of someone tripping over the wire.

The Nomad 27M solar panel is made from top quality material which is durable and hardwearing. This essentially means that once you’ve bought it, you’ll have for many, many years. The unit is also water resistant, so even if you leave it standing outside overnight, you don’t need to worry about it getting damaged if it rains. Rain and dew will have absolutely no affect on it at all, but if you know you won’t be using it for a while, then it is of course better to fold it up so that it can be safely stored away in the case provided.

<noindex>Jordan Eske</noindex> has been living eco friendly since 2008. And in 2009 he decided to help consumers go green too with solar power. The <noindex>Nomad 27M Solar Panel</noindex> is rising in popularity for adventurers.

If you are new to the world of solar panels, you may be wondering how you can make sure that you buy the best product for your money. It seems like there are always new developments in the technology used to create solar panels, which makes it even harder to choose the right product.

The first thing you will notice when researching solar panels is size differences. There are larger and smaller panels. Solar panels are typically priced in dollars per Watt. Generally the size of the panel is directly related to the amount of Watts it produces–the more Watts the panel generates, the larger the panel will be. Well, this is the case when you are looking at panels that are made out of the same material.

In addition to this, the type of solar cells used to create the panels can also determine size. There are three main types of solar cells: mono-crystalline silicon, poly-crystalline silicon, and amorphous silicon.

Mono-Crystalline Silicon
This is by far the most efficient solar cell material. It produces smaller sized cells. As a result, it also produces smaller sized panels. Even though they are smaller, they can produce the same amount of energy as larger sized panels that generate the same amount of power.

Poly-Crystalline Silicon
This is the next most efficient solar cell material. They produce slightly larger panels than mono-crystalline silicon solar cells.

Amorphous Silicon
These produce the least efficient cells and are composed of less silicon than the materials listed above. Because they are less efficient, the panels they produce need more area to generate the same amount of power as the examples above. This means that the panels they produce will be much larger. One advantage of this material is that it can be used on irregular or curved surfaces that solid panels would not be suitable for.

Knowing what solar panels are made of will give you a good idea of which panels may provide more quality. Remember too that it is important to calculate the amount of electricity you use before buying solar panels. This way you will know that you are buying a product that can produce enough energy to account for your energy use. Also, look for a good warranty. Reputable panels typically have a warranty of about 25 years.

Yes, solar powered window fans will help slash your energy bill. By placing a few solar fans at strategic places, you will not only create comfort in your home but also dramatically reduce your energy costs.

With a few well placed window fans we found we could stay comfortable even in the hot months of August. So even though gable attic fans are very important to help reduce the cost of cooling your home, don’t forget the advantages of window fans.

There are a few tricks to doing this and we soon discovered that EVEN ONE NIGHT of missing a few important and key steps resulted in a hot house for a day until we could get it cooled back down.

You only need a few window fans and if you are really serious about cutting costs, you will want to use solar powered window fans.

If you are using solar already and have a few solar panels attached to your roof then you will be all set but even if this is the first solar powered anything you try, there are some really simple solar powered fan units available on Amazon for pretty reasonable.

Tip#1: One window fan will be blowing hot air OUT and another fan will be blowing cooler air IN.

Tip #2: Important! The fan blowing cool air IN will need to be at the part of the house that gets the most shade.

Tip #3: The fan blowing the hot air OUT needs to be running all night. If it is cool in the morning, wear a jacket. You will not be sorry you cooled it down when the afternoon rolls around.

Tip #4: Close all your windows when you first get up as that will trap all that nice cool air inside. Once the warm air starts forcing it’s way indoors, it’s time to get those solar powered window fans running again.

Before you buy any <noindex>solar powered window fans</noindex> online, make sure you check out the great deals Verba Greiltz has available thru her website at <noindex>solar window fans</noindex>.

Are you a fan of the great outdoors? Do you enjoy going camping at every opportunity you get? If this sounds like you, then you’ve probably been stuck with no light or no heat on a few occasions, because let’s face it, it seems we can never have enough power available when we head out into the wilds. Maybe you don’t go camping at all, but you do live in a wonderfully remote cabin, far from the national grid. In both these example, the Base Camp Solar Kit would be the ideal solution to your troubles.

The kit, which includes solar panels, storage batteries, an inverter and four strong LED lights, must undoubtedly be the best such kit on the market nowadays. Another great aspect of this kit is that you’re able to build on it if you ever need to. In other words, if your aim is to someday go off the grid completely, you can start out with one of these kits, and then you can add to it at a later stage. Of course, even if you’re a certified city-dweller, with no intention of going off the grid, you can still benefit tremendously from this kit whenever you go camping.

Astonishingly enough, the Home Base Solar Kit is capable of powering an electric shower, a small oven, and yes you guessed it, even a small TV. If you’re not interested in watching all those soaps when you’re away camping, simply leave your TV at home, and use the kit to power your laptop instead. For those living in remote areas, this kit is an ideal “starter solution” in terms of their long-term electrical needs. In fact, if you already have a propane fridge and oven, the kit can provide you with enough power to live quite comfortably and that even during the winter months.

One of the main reasons why these kits are so popular between campers is because they’re easy to pack up and store away when not in use, and even when they are being used, they certainly don’t take up much space at all. Also, if you ever find yourself need more power than the batteries are able to provide, the can be recharged using the car lighter adapter which is included in the kit. This can of course be very useful during the winter months as the days grow shorter.

You have probably been on enough camping trips or cabin outings to know the importance of even a little extra power, so why wait until you are in the position of needing it? Instead, get the Base Camp Solar Kit today and start having fun with it on your next trip! To get a head start on its usefulness, you can even jump start the batteries so they are juiced and ready to go the first time you take them out to use them. The solar panels will do the rest of the work as you use the power.

In my opinion, this must surely be one of the most effective solutions for acquiring all the electrical power you need when there’s no conventional power supply on hand. Of course you can continue searching the internet for the ideal solution power needs, but the truth is, you’ve just discovered the ultimate solution, now it’s up to you whether you go ahead and purchase the kit.

If you have thought about powerful back up power then you should take a look at these <noindex>solar battery chargers</noindex>. There are so many to choose but this power system comes as a complete kit.

Why we use solar energy? Humans use solar power to produce renewable energy for different work environments or at home. But it is mainly used in producing electric energy with the help of solar panels.

Is solar power expensive? The energy from the sun is free of charge. It’s the mechanism we use to stock the power that cost. It’s not always easy to find money for this investment, but you can get creative and use domain for profit strategies to get extra income.

How many years can I use my solar system? Solar panels that are used to transform solar power into thermal energy can be used for almost 2 decades. The panels that have been furbished to give us electrical power are longer lasting, and we can rely on them for more than 25 years.

How long before I recover my investment? The amortization of the initial investment in a solar system is hard to calculate in general because it depends on many variables. People can appreciate that they’ve already earn the investment money back anywhere between 3 to 10 years. What happens if the sky isn’t clear or during the winter? Solar panels and photovoltaic that are available nowadays function at all time, not only when the conditions are ideal. This means that they do their job even under cloudy skies, during winter and low temperatures and even at night. But, their performances are highly influenced by exterior conditions. If such a solar system is installed in earth regions which do not present ideal conditions, the revenue we can save by installing them decreases.

If I install a solar system, can I unsubscribe from my electricity company? This would be possible only under the ideal conditions described above. In daily use, a backup system is necessary, like having a power generator or not giving up to the power supply subscription. Solar systems that can successfully comply and fill in a big house’s electrical needs are very big and expensive, this is why most people use an alternative solutions for periods when it’s not so sunny outside.

Solar energy has many advantages to offer, not only to people but to the world in general. Solar energy is the energy from the sun that is then taken and converted into thermal or electrical energy and it can be used to power an entire home or it could just be used for a light outside. These solar energy advantages can make a major difference in your life and also help the world around you. There are a few solar energy advantages in particular that you want to be aware of and which are sure to make up your mind in terms of whether or not it is going to be worth it for you to make the switch.

Of course one of the main solar energy advantages and one that affects the world is one that is in regards to how environmentally friendly it is. Unlike regular electricity and fuel, solar energy does not pollute and so you don’t have to worry about it doing damage to the environment in any way.

Global warming is causing an increase in the average temperature of the earth which, if it continues, means that eventually the world would come to an end. Solar energy uses the sun as its resource and so there is no pollution being caused and this is one of the most important issues because of how poor a state the environment is in right now.

Another of the most major solar energy advantages is that when you make the switch to solar energy you are able to save a bundle. When you take a look at the poor state of the economy today, it is easy to see that jobs are needed all around the world and as consumption of solar energy grows, so will the number of jobs that are involved with this field. In fact if you have your whole house running on solar power you will not get an electricity bill at all and that means extra money in your pocket at the end of each month. This is definitely one of the best solar energy advantages.

Also for the top three solar energy advantages there is the fact that there is little to no maintenance required for solar energy systems. The solar energy advantages definitely win over and come out on top. Think of it as an investment because of all the benefits that you will be receiving but also because you are going to more than make your money back. There are more people than ever before who are benefiting from solar energy advantages and you can too.

Get the latest use of the solar power like <noindex>hot water cylinder</noindex> and you can also know the good points about the <noindex>heat pumbs</noindex>.

Getting your garden to look just the way you want it to is not only not easy, but it is an on-going battle against weeds, pests and disease, so once you have lovely garden, the next stage is how to show it off it in all lighting and weather conditions. This article is about just that: how to use landscape lighting to great effect.

One aspect of landscape lighting is called accent lighting. This type of lighting is employed to subtly light up bushes or flowers along with other things. You can also light up a snow storm or rain, it gives a beautiful effect, but this takes more powerful lighting such as flood lights.

The issue is that you do not need to have the beauty of your garden on display for only the day light hours, you can also get great pleasure out of it in the evenings and even at night; in the summer and in the winter.

There is a huge range of landscape lighting. For example, there are lamps, lanterns, floodlights and spotlights and they can be powered by grid electricity or by the sun. Obviously, if you want to use mains electricity, you will need to have an electrician lay armoured cable in your garden, which can be costly and is more or less permanent.

The alternative is solar powered lighting, which is impermanent. If you put it somewhere and then change your mind, you can move it yourself and there are no electricity running costs. Solar powered light fittings are more expensive than standard ones, but all in all, taking into account the electrician’s fees and the on-going electricity bill, solar powered devices work out cheaper. Plus, you will be doing something for the environment that every gardener is doing his or her best to protect.

This article is not concerned with security lighting, but landscape lighting does have a spin-off by adding extra security to your property. Before buying any landscape lighting, you ought to have a good idea of what you are looking for.

There are various ways of going about this. You could first of all draw a plan of your garden and photocopy it a couple of times in order that you can consign your ideas to paper.

You could go for a walk around your local area and pick up concepts by observing neighbours’ gardens. You could go look at how the council lights its parks and public buildings and you could obtain a few landscaping magazines to get an idea of the latest devices on the market.

It is also worth going to a few gardening centres, because they will also be showing off their wares to their full advantage. As you get ideas, pencil them in on one of your photocopies. If you want to test a few ideas very roughly, you could place a suitable flashlight under a bush that you consider would benefit from landscape lighting and observe it. If you do not like it remove it from your plan and try something else.

Once you are happy with your sketch, go out and get the requisite lighting. If they are grid supplied you will need an electrician, if they are solar powered you do not. If you try some of these ideas you will soon learn how to use landscape lighting to great effect.

There are lots of wonderful benefits that are offered to someone who owns a solar energy home. A solar energy home is environmentally friendly, cost effective, and solar energy systems require very little maintenance which means you will not have to pay so many recurring costs such as adding extra fuel if you normally rely on fuel to power or heat your home. It is expected that by the end of the next decade, the majority of people will own an entire solar energy home. In fact, in just a few easy steps you can have a solar energy home.

The benefits that are offered by a solar energy home are really quite impressive. There are a few different causes in particular that are responsible for global warming but more than anything it is pollution. A solar energy home does not pollute as one run off of electricity does and so when you are living in a solar energy home you know that you are not doing any more damage to the environment.

The earth really is getting hotter and it will really be the end of days if we do not do something now and put a stop to this or at least slow things down.

This is why having a solar energy home is more important now than ever before. Even if you are not an environmentalist, there are still other reasons why you would want to own a solar energy home. This works especially well because the lights are situated out in the open garden space where they will receive lots of sunlight and be able to suck up all that energy from the sun throughout the day and then be brightly lit up at night by solar power. From your pool heater to the lights lining the walkway to your front door, all of these can be powered by solar energy.

By having a solar energy home this means that you are conserving energy and this is something that everyone needs to start doing. They will even be able to go to your house and take a look at it to give you a better idea of what you are looking at in terms of turning your house into a solar energy home. It is just a matter of getting solar panels and other components for the solar energy system that is going to power the home. You will be very glad that you have a solar energy home.
